Canada-Based Nigerian Charged in Alleged Hate-Related Harassment Case

Canadian authorities have charged Kayode Roberts, a Nigerian national based in Toronto, over alleged hate-related harassment. Police say Roberts repeatedly targeted a neighbour between July and December 2025 with threats, harassment, and hostile behaviour. The charges include criminal harassment, uttering threats, assault, and animal cruelty. Investigators are treating the case as potentially hate-motivated.  Nigerian Sentenced to Over Eight Years in U.S. Prison for $6M Inheritance Fraud

A U.S. federal court has sentenced Nigerian national Tochukwu Albert Nnebocha, 44, to 97 months in prison for orchestrating a $6 million inheritance fraud scheme. Prosecutors said Nnebocha and accomplices targeted hundreds of elderly Americans with fake inheritance letters, persuading victims to pay fraudulent fees. The court also ordered restitution of more than $6.8 million to affected victims.
