Toronto Police Seek Nigerian Caregiver Over Alleged Assaults at Group Home

Toronto authorities have issued a public alert for a Nigerian man wanted in connection with multiple assaults on vulnerable adults at a local group home.

Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, 38, was employed as a caregiver at the facility and is accused of committing a series of assaults against residents during November 2025. Police confirmed that he faces seven counts of assault.


The incidents reportedly took place near Sibley and Detonia Park avenues, prompting authorities to request community assistance in locating the suspect. Details about the victims or the specific nature of the injuries have not been disclosed.

Ejerua is described as 5’8”, with a medium build, black curly hair, and facial hair. The police have urged anyone with information to contact them directly or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.


“The public’s cooperation is critical to ensuring the safety of vulnerable individuals and bringing this matter to a resolution,” a police spokesperson stated.


Authorities are appealing to witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward promptly.
