Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu commends the exceptional achievements of two Lagos educators, Dr. Peace Sule, an ICT teacher at Akoka Junior High School, Yaba, and Mrs. Stephanie Akinwoya, a Physics teacher at Iju Senior Grammar School, Obawole (Education District 1), as they earn their place among the distinguished 50 finalists in this year's Global Teacher Prize.
These remarkable teachers, selected from a pool of 7,000 educators worldwide, proudly represent Lagos and Africa on the global stage.
In a diverse field of nominees spanning 130 countries, these educators exemplify unwavering commitment to the field of education. Lagos State consistently supports and nurtures its educators, enabling them to achieve international acclaim.
The Global Teacher Prize celebrates educators who advocate for inclusivity, children's rights, and the integration of migrants into classrooms.
