The Lagos State Government has supported the unveiling of the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation, a new initiative aimed at nurturing young African talents in the music industry. The foundation was launched in Lagos with the presence of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries.

The initiative was founded by Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage in collaboration with Berklee College of Music to provide aspiring creatives with access to professional training and mentorship.
As part of the programme, the foundation will host the “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program,” which will offer selected participants hands-on training in music production, songwriting, sound engineering, and other areas of the music business.
The programme is scheduled to take place in Lagos from April 23 to April 26, 2026, with 100 participants expected to benefit from the initiative. While tuition for the training will be free, participants will be responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses.

Officials say the initiative represents a major step toward strengthening Nigeria’s creative economy by equipping emerging talents with the skills and exposure needed to compete globally.
