A coalition of Ogun State indigenes living abroad has declared its support for the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, ahead of the 2027 elections.

The group, operating under the banner of the Yayi Diaspora Movement, said its members, spread across 23 countries, believe the lawmaker possesses the leadership qualities needed to drive the state's growth and development.

As part of its support efforts, the organisation donated a campaign-branded vehicle and distributed promotional materials, including caps, shirts, posters, banners, and billboards, to boost awareness of Adeola’s candidacy across various communities in Ogun State.

Speaking on behalf of the movement, Convener Olusola Adisa-Adunbarin said members were inspired by Adeola’s track record in public service and his vision for the state. He noted that the group intends to complement its material support with voter mobilisation and grassroots engagement activities across all local government areas.

The movement’s Global Coordinator, Adekunle Adegoke, described the donation as evidence of the commitment of Ogun indigenes abroad to the state’s future. He added that additional initiatives would be unveiled as preparations for the election gather momentum.

The group also acknowledged the contributions of its patron, Babatunde Olaotan, who commended members for maintaining unity and dedication to promoting good governance. Other supporters, including former Ogun State House of Assembly Speaker Titi Oseni and Dr. Taiwo Ogunremi, praised the organisation’s efforts in encouraging civic participation and political engagement among Ogun residents.
