The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Diaspora chapter has called on the United States government to collaborate with Nigerian authorities in investigating recent alleged killings of Christians.
Ambassador Collins Osazee Idahosa, Vice-President of NYCN Diaspora, said the request seeks partnership rather than confrontation. He emphasized that the US’s support could strengthen Nigeria’s security framework and aid in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
Idahosa outlined that the collaboration could include backing Nigerian security agencies during investigations, implementing initiatives to counter terrorism and violence, and providing capacity-building programs for law enforcement personnel.
“Our appeal is for constructive engagement that enhances Nigeria’s security and ensures credible investigations,” he stated. “Through joint efforts, both nations can deliver justice for victims, prevent future attacks, and foster peace and stability.”
The NYCN Diaspora expressed optimism that such cooperation would safeguard lives and properties while contributing to a more secure and prosperous Nigeria.
