Nigeria recorded the highest number of applications for Grenada’s citizenship-by-investment programme in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to newly released figures from the Investment Migration Agency.
Data from the agency shows that Nigerians accounted for 16 per cent of total applications submitted during the year-to-date period, placing the country ahead of all other nationalities seeking second citizenship in the Caribbean state.
China ranked second with 12 per cent of applications, followed by Iraq at nine per cent. Applicants from the United States made up seven per cent, while Pakistan accounted for five per cent. Several other countries, including Egypt, India, Lebanon, Vietnam and Turkey, each contributed three per cent of submissions.
In the fourth quarter alone, Grenada received 128 new applications and processed 161 cases. Of those processed, 154 were approved while seven were rejected, reflecting a high approval rate for qualified investors.
The agency also confirmed that 99 individuals were granted citizenship during the quarter, pushing the total number of new citizens for 2025 to 1,124.
Grenada’s citizenship-by-investment framework allows foreign nationals to obtain citizenship through approved financial contributions, including investment in government-backed funds or designated real estate developments.
Successful applicants gain access to a Grenadian passport, which offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry to more than 140 destinations worldwide, including countries within Europe’s Schengen Area and the United Kingdom.
The surge in applications from Nigeria highlights sustained interest among high-net-worth individuals seeking expanded global mobility and alternative residency options through investment programmes.
