Lagos Partners Private Institutions to Elevate Tertiary Education Standards

The Lagos State Ministry of Tertiary Education has held its maiden Stakeholders’ Forum with private tertiary institutions, marking a historic step toward improving education quality through collaboration.

Held in Ikeja, the forum brought together proprietors, administrators, academics, and policymakers to discuss sustainable strategies for enhancing tertiary education delivery in the state.
Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hon. Tolani Sule, stated that the engagement represents a shift from transactional oversight to strategic partnership, aimed at fostering innovation and global competitiveness.
Keynote speaker, Professor Bamitale Omole, emphasised the need for curriculum alignment, infrastructural development, and clear regulatory frameworks to ensure uniform standards across institutions.

Participants agreed that sustained collaboration, regular dialogue, and shared responsibility are essential for positioning Lagos as a global knowledge hub.
