Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson, has reaffirmed her commitment to fostering closer relations between the Ghanaian Mission in London and the country’s diaspora community.

During a high-level engagement with the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) UK and Ireland chapter, Mrs. Benson outlined plans to deepen collaboration between the High Commission and Ghanaians living abroad.

She emphasized the importance of unity among diaspora groups, urging them to continue contributing to national development through investments, skills transfer, and cultural diplomacy.



According to her, the Ghanaian diaspora remains one of the nation’s greatest assets, and the government is determined to harness their expertise and resources to support socio-economic transformation. She noted that the High Commission would strengthen outreach programmes, improve service delivery, and expand networking opportunities for professionals and business leaders of Ghanaian descent.

The NDC UK and Ireland leadership commended Mrs. Benson for her inclusive approach, describing her appointment as a historic milestone that reflects the growing participation of women in Ghana’s diplomatic leadership.
