The Zimbabwe Football Association has appealed to Zimbabweans living in the United Kingdom to come out in large numbers and support the Warriors ahead of their upcoming Unity Cup encounter against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in London.

The highly anticipated semi-final fixture is scheduled to take place on May 26 at The Valley Stadium, with the winner progressing to the tournament final on May 31.

The invitational competition will also feature Jamaica and India, as organisers aim to promote cultural connection and football unity among different communities through the sport.

Zimbabwe’s coaching crew recently announced a 24-man squad for the tournament as preparations intensify for the showdown against the Super Eagles, one of Africa’s most successful national teams.

In a message shared across its communication channels, the Zimbabwe Football Association encouraged supporters in the diaspora to turn the match venue into a sea of Zimbabwean colours and create a strong atmosphere for the team.

The association described the event as an opportunity for Zimbabweans abroad to unite behind their national side while celebrating African football on an international stage.

The Unity Cup is expected to draw football fans from African and Caribbean communities across the UK, with organisers hoping the competition will strengthen cultural and sporting relationships among participating nations.

For Nigeria, the tournament offers another opportunity to further develop the Super Eagles squad ahead of future international assignments, while Zimbabwe will view the clash as a major test against a top African football nation.
