The Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) has reaffirmed its partnership with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) to broaden economic opportunities for women across Lagos State.

Commissioner Hon. Bolaji Cecilia Dada gave the assurance while receiving LSETF Executive Secretary, Mrs. Feyisayo Alayande, during a courtesy visit. She highlighted WAPA’s 19 Skills Acquisition Centres and Women Development Centre, which operate structured curricula developed by LASTVEB.
Hon. Dada urged alignment between LSETF programmes and WAPA’s training framework to ensure graduates understand funding requirements before completion. She emphasised the need for financial literacy and structured support for sustainability.
Mrs. Alayande disclosed that the LSETF portal has reopened, encouraging applicants to obtain LASRRA ID, LIRS TIN, NIN, and BVN. She proposed financial literacy and bookkeeping training to improve loan performance.

Both agencies agreed to collaborate on sensitisation programmes and International Women’s Day initiatives, reinforcing the Lagos State Government’s commitment to inclusive economic growth under Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership.
