UK Teen Charged Over Killing of Nigerian-Born 14-Year-Old in London

A 15-year-old boy has appeared before a youth court in the United Kingdom after being charged in connection with the killing of 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor in southeast London.
The teenager was arrested on Wednesday and later charged with murder following ongoing investigations into the fatal incident that occurred in Woolwich earlier in April.
Authorities said the suspect appeared before Barkingside Youth Court on Thursday. Due to legal protections involving minors, his identity has not been disclosed.
Police added that specially trained officers are continuing to support the victim’s family as investigations progress.
The latest court appearance comes after another 16-year-old suspect from Romford was previously charged in relation to the same case in April. He had earlier appeared before Thames Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody.
Detectives had also detained several other individuals during the investigation, including teenagers and adult suspects arrested on suspicion of murder or assisting an offender. Some were later released on bail while enquiries continued.
The killing of the 14-year-old has continued to attract attention within the local community, with authorities maintaining that investigations remain active.
