PS Inspects Folarin Coker Staff Clinic, Reaffirms Commitment to Civil Servants’ Health

Dr. Dayo Lajide, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, toured the Folarin Coker Staff Clinic at the State Secretariat, Alausa, reaffirming the government’s commitment to civil servants’ wellbeing. The visit aimed to assess service delivery and ensure optimal healthcare for the state workforce.

Dr. Lajide highlighted the clinic’s comprehensive services, which include dental care, eye clinic services, general outpatient care, physiotherapy, laboratories, pharmacy, and lying wards. She encouraged civil servants to enrol in the Ilera Eko health insurance scheme and leverage the fully paperless EMR system for efficient care.
The Permanent Secretary noted that preventative care and lifestyle interventions are key to reducing non-communicable diseases. She emphasized that a healthy workforce enhances productivity and strengthens the state’s administrative capacity.
Dr. Abdulrasheed Kolade, Director of Staff Health Services, reinforced the clinic’s mandate to safeguard employees’ health while offering holistic and preventive care programs, including mental health support through LASWELL.

The visit underscores the Lagos State Government’s focus on workforce wellbeing, ensuring public servants receive quality care that fosters resilience, efficiency, and sustained public service delivery.
