A diaspora-based political support organisation has declared its backing for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State.

The group, known as OGUN Diaspora for YAYI 2027 Support and Campaign Group, announced its endorsement on Wednesday, attributing its decision to the senator’s record in grassroots development, youth empowerment, and economic intervention programmes across the state

In a statement released by the organisation’s leadership, the group described Adeola as a people-focused leader whose projects and initiatives have impacted several communities in Ogun State. It pointed to road projects in rural areas, vocational training centres, and empowerment schemes for artisans, traders, and unemployed youths as part of the senator’s contributions.

The organisation stated that Adeola’s programmes have promoted self-reliance and sustainable economic growth, adding that many beneficiaries have experienced meaningful improvements in their livelihoods.

The group further expressed confidence in the senator’s leadership capacity, saying he possesses the experience and vision required to drive balanced development across the state if elected governor in 2027.

Political activities ahead of the Ogun governorship race have continued to gather momentum, with support groups and stakeholders increasingly positioning themselves behind potential aspirants.
