A 35-year-old Nigerian man, Goodness Sokoh, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison in the United Kingdom after being convicted of multiple sexual offences involving four teenage girls.

Sokoh was convicted of three counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault by penetration, two counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

According to law enforcement officials, Adelasa was initially stopped by officers during a routine patrol in Lefkoşa on April 22, where a small quantity of substance believed to be cannabis was found on him. The arrest led to a follow-up search of his residence in the Taşkinköy area, where additional suspected drugs and related items were recovered.

Investigators said Sokoh contacted the teenagers through Snapchat using the username ‘GWDY_SXNGS’. He allegedly arranged to meet them in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire, offering them free vapes and cannabis before sexually abusing them.

Sokoh, who resides in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, was arrested on December 17, 2025, and formally charged two days later.

In addition to his prison sentence, the court imposed a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the victims. He has also been placed on the sex offenders register for life.

Natalie Palmer, an investigator with the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, commended the victims for their cooperation throughout the investigation, noting their courage and determination to help secure justice despite their experiences.
