Nigerian Arrested in Kenya Over Alleged Drug Trafficking, Illegal Stay

Kenyan authorities have arrested a Nigerian national, identified as Christian Ikechukwu Uzochukwu, over alleged involvement in a drug trafficking operation within the country.
The 29-year-old suspect was apprehended during a coordinated operation carried out by officers from Kenya’s Anti-Narcotics Unit and the Transnational Organised Crime Unit following intelligence reports linking him to an illicit drug network operating in Nairobi.
According to investigators, security operatives raided his residence in the Kabarnet area along Ngong Road, where they reportedly recovered 33 sachets of cannabis believed to have been packaged for distribution.
Preliminary findings by investigators further indicated that the Nigerian national may have been residing in Kenya without valid immigration documentation.
Following the operation, Uzochukwu was taken into custody and transferred to Muthaiga Police Station, where he remains detained pending his arraignment in court.
