Ms Ademokun, a distinguished Nigerian-American public health diplomat, disclosed this in a virtual interview on Saturday, adding that the memoir would be officially launched on August 5, 2025.

She explained that the inspirational memoir chronicled a gripping journey from surviving bomb blasts and bureaucratic battles to finding divine restoration and purpose in life.

Ms Ademokun said, “Proceeds from the book will fund humanitarian interventions, including scholarships for students in Nigeria and the diaspora through NIDOA South Savannah and the Reliable Women and Youth Empowerment Foundation.”

She described her literary debut as part of a broader effort to amplify Nigerian diaspora authors, with NIDOA featuring Ms Ademokun as part of its Authors Unite campaign spotlighting African writers who transformed lives through storytelling.

“The memoir was birthed in pain, refined in fire, and crowned with favour. I pray it inspires a new generation of warriors to rise strong in the face of Wahala,” she saidThe book is structured around three sub-themes:

  • Faith, which highlights spiritual endurance through delays and disappointments;

  • Fire, revealing trials including diplomatic crises, illness, and betrayals;

  • and Favour, celebrating redemption, resilience, and divine breakthroughs.

Ms Ademokun encouraged those interested in becoming a “Wellness Wahala Warrior” to follow @WellnessWahala on social media, pre-order or show proof of purchase of the book, tag three friends, and share the post using the hashtag #WellnessWahalaWarrior.

She said participants could also submit a short 30–60 second review video by July 30, 2025, to enter a bonus contest.

She added that three winners in Nigeria would receive ₦50,000 each, while two winners in the U.S. would receive $50 each.

“Winners will be announced on August 5, 2025. The memoir will be available globally on platforms such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo eBooks,” she said.

The memoir aims to celebrate Nigerian resilience and diaspora excellence.
