The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), chaired by Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has unveiled plans to deploy Nigerian doctors abroad to support the country’s healthcare system. Dabiri-Erewa said the initiative will collaborate with the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, led by Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, to address manpower shortages and encourage skills transfer. The programme is designed to strengthen specialist services and reduce medical tourism through structured diaspora engagement.
