The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has released emergency hotline numbers for Nigerians residing in or travelling through parts of the Middle East as tensions linked to the Iran–Israel conflict continue to escalate.
The commission said the numbers are intended to provide quick consular assistance to Nigerians who may face emergencies or security concerns in the affected region.
In an advisory shared through its official communication channels, NiDCOM urged Nigerians abroad to save the hotline contacts and immediately reach out to the nearest Nigerian embassy or consulate whenever they experience distress.
The commission noted that the security situation in the Middle East has created growing anxiety among foreign nationals, including Nigerians living and working across several Gulf and Levant countries.
To improve response time, NiDCOM said dedicated emergency lines have been assigned to Nigerian diplomatic missions in key locations including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Tel Aviv, Doha, Beirut, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Amman.
It also encouraged Nigerians in those countries to remain alert and strictly follow safety guidelines issued by local authorities while the regional crisis continues to unfold.
NiDCOM further advised citizens to rely only on official updates and maintain close contact with Nigerian missions for guidance and support during the ongoing tensions.
