MOIS Toastmasters Club Hosts International Speech and Evaluation Contests

The Ministry of Information and Strategy’s Toastmasters Club hosted its International Speech and Evaluation Contests, advancing public speaking skills among Public Affairs Officers. The event, themed “Love Beyond Words,” took place at the Ministry’s Conference Room and showcased high levels of preparation and professionalism.

Area Director TM Funmi Omotoso commended contestants for their courage and confidence, highlighting the event as a competitive platform for skill development. Contest Chair TM Craig Esohwode noted the value of contests in identifying excellence among members.
Four speakers delivered speeches on diverse topics, including personal journeys, music, and perseverance, while two participants competed as evaluators. The Bonus Test Speaker addressed the importance of listening as a lifelong skill.
TM Bukola Bakare emerged as Best Speaker, earning the right to represent the club at the District Level, while TM Aduragbemi Ogundeko won the Evaluation Contest. The event emphasized growth, mentorship, and continuous learning within the Ministry.

Charter President TM Kayode Oyekanmi concluded the program by thanking officials, sponsors, and participants, noting that the contests met their objectives and reinforced Toastmasters’ role in professional development for Public Affairs Officers.
