Ministry of Information Toastmasters Club Holds Maiden Hybrid Meeting

The Ministry of Information Toastmasters Club has held its first hybrid meeting as part of efforts to enhance the public speaking and leadership skills of Public Affairs Officers. The meeting, themed “Evolving Like an Eagle,” combined physical and virtual participation.



In his opening remarks, the Charter President, TM Kayode Oyekanmi, represented by Vice-President Education, TM Ganiu Lawal, encouraged members to embrace continuous learning, unlearning, and relearning. He stressed the importance of confidence and adaptability in public communication.

Area Director, Division D 130, TM Funmi Omotoso, described Toastmasters as a platform that provides candid feedback to aid personal growth. She expressed optimism about future speaking engagements and activities within the club.

The meeting featured table topics, prepared speeches, and an educational segment, with speakers sharing personal growth stories aligned with Toastmasters pathways. Emphasis was placed on constructive feedback and consistent practice.



Participants and guests commended the club for a successful outing, noting that the initiative will strengthen communication professionalism within the Ministry of Information.
