LSMTL Signs Quality Policy, Moves Toward ISO 17025:2017 Accreditation

The Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory (LSMTL) has signed its Laboratory Quality Policy Statement, reinforcing its commitment to achieving ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation.

The General Manager, Engr. Olayinka Abdul, described the move as a milestone toward global recognition and enhanced credibility in materials testing operations.

The Policy commits the Agency to impartiality, technical competence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement through internal audits and management reviews.

Director of Laboratory Services, Engr. Wale Akinsanya, disclosed that internal audit teams have been constituted to align all procedures with ISO requirements.

The accreditation drive is expected to position LSMTL as a globally recognised centre, strengthening confidence in Lagos State’s infrastructure projects.
