LSMTL Honours Retiring Officers, Celebrates Decades of Service and Professional Excellence

The Lagos State Government has installed solar power systems in key tourism facilities in Badagry as part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure, reduce reliance on the national grid, and enhance visitor experience across heritage sites in the area.

The event, themed “Celebrating Excellence and Service: A Fond Farewell,” recognised the outstanding contributions of Engr. Bola Adigun, Director of Technical Services; Senior Accountants Mr. Badaru Abdullmaroof and Mrs. Temidayo Salako; and Motor Mechanic Driver Mr. Adisa Babatunde, who retired after years of meritorious service.
In his address, the General Manager of LSMTL, Engr. Olayinka Abdul, described the retirees as pillars of the Agency whose professionalism and integrity helped shape the reliability of construction projects across the State. He paid special tribute to Engr. Adigun, describing her as a mentor and technical leader whose impact transcended materials testing.
Engr. Abdul noted that the buildings, roads, and bridges across Lagos bear the imprint of the retirees’ expertise, emphasising that public service remains a noble calling that directly impacts public safety and sustainable development.

Responding on behalf of the retirees, Engr. Bola Adigun described her years in service as an experience sustained by divine grace, urging current staff to uphold dedication and excellence, while other retirees encouraged patience, diligence, and conscientious service delivery within the public sector.
