LAWMA Begins PSP Payment Verification in Apapa-Iganmu

The Lagos Waste Management Authority has launched a compliance operation requiring residents and businesses in Apapa-Iganmu to present proof of payment to their assigned Private Sector Participant (PSP) waste operators.

Tagged “Show Your PSP Payment Receipt,” the initiative is aimed at curbing indiscriminate waste disposal and identifying properties without valid waste collection arrangements.

Managing Director/CEO of LAWMA, Mr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, stated that the enforcement drive would involve routine compliance checks across residential and commercial premises within the corridor.

According to him, the exercise will help close service gaps that contribute to illegal dumping and blackspot formation while ensuring proper waste storage and disposal practices.

He urged residents and business owners to regularise their PSP payments ahead of the enforcement exercise, reiterating LAWMA’s commitment to maintaining a cleaner and healthier Lagos environment.
