LASRRA To Leverage APC E-Registration To Expand Its Statewide Data Gathering Effort

The General Manager of the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA), Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, has initiated a strategic partnership with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to broaden the scope of residents’ registration. During a meeting held on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, at the Party Secretariat in Ogba, Mrs. Adebiyi-Abiola met with Lagos APC Chairman, Mr. Cornelius Ojelabi, to discuss integrating data efforts. The collaboration aims to utilize the party’s ongoing e-registration exercise as a vehicle to capture eligible residents who are not yet on the LASRRA platform.

This initiative is designed to create additional touchpoints for the state's official identity database by leveraging existing political structures. By tapping into the APC’s registration network, LASRRA seeks to reach a wider demographic of card-carrying party members and their communities. Both parties emphasized that inclusive data capture is a fundamental requirement for strengthening governance and ensuring that the state can plan effectively for its growing population.

​Mrs. Adebiyi-Abiola clarified that the partnership aligns strictly with the Agency’s mandate to identify every resident of Lagos, regardless of their political affiliation. She noted that using structured platforms like the APC’s e-registration allows the agency to take its services closer to the people. The goal is to ensure that no resident is left behind in the state's drive to maintain a comprehensive and accurate biometric database.
