The Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) has strengthened its data integration drive through a strategic collaboration with the Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) to improve student registration across private schools.

Leading the delegation, the General Manager of Lagos State Residents Registration Agency, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, met with the Director-General of Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance, Dr. Sulaimon Ogunmuyiwa, to develop frameworks for structured data sharing and coordinated registration initiatives.

Discussions centred on leveraging OEQA’s database of registered private schools to ensure pupils and students are enrolled in the LASRRA residents’ database from an early age. The move is aimed at closing data gaps and strengthening planning accuracy.

Adebiyi-Abiola highlighted that early registration ensures access to government services, social interventions, and educational planning benefits tied to residency identification. She noted that private schools present a major opportunity to expand coverage.

Both agencies agreed to establish a joint working team to design an implementation roadmap, including sensitisationcampaigns for proprietors and structured data-sharing protocols aligned with regulatory standards.
