The Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) has paid a courtesy visit to the Council of White Cap Chiefs of Lagos following their recent appointment and installation.

The delegation, led by the Director-General, Mr. Amodu Razaak, said the visit was to recognise the chiefs’ roles in preserving Lagos’ cultural heritage and traditional governance systems.

Razaak described the White Cap Chieftaincy Institution as a cornerstone of Lagos history, symbolising continuity, loyalty, and indigenous identity.

He noted that the elevation of the chiefs strengthens the legacy of cultural preservation and reinforces the importance of traditional institutions in governance.

LASRAB reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with traditional authorities to document, preserve, and safeguard Lagos’ historical and cultural heritage for future generations.
