The Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) has rallied archivists across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to adopt global best practices in records management.

The engagement, led by the Director-General, Mr. Razaak Amodu, brought together Archives Officers across the state public service for an interactive policy meeting aimed at reinforcing standards and operational discipline.

Addressing participants, Mr. Amodu stressed the importance of efficient and accurate record-keeping as a cornerstone of transparent governance and institutional memory. He urged officers to uphold professionalism, diligence, and statutory compliance in their responsibilities.

The Director-General further noted that effective records management aligns with the development goals of the state, particularly under the Governor’s THEMES Plus Agenda. Other Directors reassured officers that welfare, professional development, and standardisation concerns remain management priorities.

Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage directly with leadership, describing the meeting as reassuring and motivating. The session concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening records management systems across Lagos State.
