LASODA Empowers 100 Persons with Disabilities Through Entrepreneurship Training

The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has empowered 100 persons with disabilities through a capacity-building programme focused on sustainable entrepreneurship and business registration. The event was held at the STO Resources Centre, Ikeja.

General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, noted that the programme was designed to address barriers preventing PWDs from accessing financial support, particularly the lack of CAC registration.
She emphasised the importance of financial literacy, proper documentation, and record-keeping in building sustainable businesses. Participants were encouraged to adopt modern business practices and leverage digital platforms.
Expert facilitators delivered sessions on taxation, bookkeeping, and entrepreneurship, equipping participants with practical tools for business growth.te.

Beneficiaries praised the initiative, describing it as a life-changing intervention that promotes inclusion and economic empowerment.
