The Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) has taken a significant step toward administrative modernization by organizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) training session. The workshop, aimed at Deans and Heads of Departments, was designed to align the institution with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) digital standards.

NBTE Resource Team Lead, Mr. Arabi Yusuf, explained that the ERP platform is a national framework designed to unify accredited institutions. This digital shift aims to eliminate manual record-keeping, prevent the loss of student data, and drastically reduce the operational costs associated with maintaining multiple, disconnected software systems.

A key feature of the new system is its synergy with the Ministry of Education and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Once a student’s data is captured, it flows automatically through the system from admission to graduation, ensuring that records are transparent, authenticated, and easily accessible for regulatory compliance and national service.

The Provost of LASCOHET, Professor Raheem Akewushola, expressed his gratitude for the training, noting that it will significantly enhance institutional productivity. He emphasized that the college is committed to full digital adoption and will soon extend this training to all staff members to ensure a seamless transition across all academic and administrative functions.

To further support this digital evolution, the Provost announced that the college management would be providing laptops to faculty members. This investment in hardware is intended to complement the new ERP system, empowering educators to utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital tools to improve student outcomes.
