LAMATA, LASODA Strengthen Partnership to Promote Disability Inclusion

The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority and the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs have reinforced collaboration to enhance inclusion for Persons with Disabilities in Lagos transport systems.

LASODA General Manager, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, commended LAMATA’s accessibility features and proposed the establishment of Disability Support Offices at major transport hubs.

LAMATA Managing Director, Engr. Abimbola Akinajo, reaffirmed commitment to inclusive customer service, noting that the Blue Line rail system is fully accessible.

Both agencies agreed to integrate sign language translation and prioritise awareness training for drivers and operators.
