Lagos, Italy Deepen Ties on Trade, Investment and Cultural Exchange

The Lagos State Governor has received the Italian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Roberto Mengoni, on a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Ikeja, reinforcing diplomatic and economic relations between Lagos State and Italy.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in discussions on key areas of mutual interest, particularly trade, investment opportunities, and cultural exchange, with a shared commitment to fostering sustainable partnerships that deliver measurable benefits.
The Governor highlighted Lagos State’s strategic position as Nigeria’s economic hub, noting its vast market potential, investor-friendly policies, and growing infrastructure that continue to attract international partners.
Ambassador Mengoni commended Lagos State’s development strides and expressed Italy’s interest in expanding collaboration across critical sectors, including commerce, manufacturing, and cultural initiatives.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to strengthen bilateral relations with Italy, emphasizing that such partnerships remain vital to economic growth, job creation, and improved living standards for Lagos residents.
