Lagos State Health District V has successfully implemented a School Health Programme across five public primary schools as part of efforts to strengthen preventive healthcare and child development.

The programme covered schools in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Ojo, and Badagry areas, delivering health education, medical screening, dental checks, and deworming exercises.

Representing the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ahmad Amina Bello said the initiative promotes cleanliness, personal safety, and emotional well-being among pupils through engaging activities.

She noted that early health interventions are essential for academic performance and lifelong wellbeing, aligning with the Sanwo-Olu administration’s THEMES Plus Agenda.

Health District V reaffirmed its commitment to expanding the programme to more schools across the district.
