The Lagos State Government has strengthened administrative leadership across public secondary schools through an induction workshop for 200 newly elevated Principals and Vice Principals. The programme was organised by the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) in Ikorodu.

TESCOM Chairperson Mrs. Victoria Mopelola Peregrino said the induction was designed to expose school leaders to contemporary management challenges and equip them with modern administrative skills. She emphasised resilience, flexibility and responsibility as essential leadership qualities.
Permanent Secretary Mr. Olawale Ojikutu charged participants to embrace collaborative decision-making and avoid unilateral approaches in school governance. He stressed that principals must demonstrate analytical competence in resolving disciplinary and budgetary issues.
The workshop featured lectures, case studies and syndicate sessions facilitated by Lateral Consulting. Participants engaged in discussions on leadership execution, strategic planning and education policy alignment.

Officials reaffirmed that quality education remains central to the administration’s agenda, with school leaders expected to serve as change agents shaping future generations across Lagos State.
