The Lagos State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget has concluded the second batch of its three-day strategic workshop aimed at strengthening project delivery systems across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.

The workshop, organised in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (CIPMN), focused on work planning, execution strategy and impact measurement. It underscores the Lagos State Government’s commitment to enhancing institutional capacity and ensuring effective implementation of development projects.

Speaking at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Permanent Secretary Mrs. Olayinka Ojo emphasised the need for alignment between strategic planning, budgeting and field supervision to deliver sustainable infrastructure and public services.

Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Foaud Oyede, noted that weak planning often results in reactive implementation and poor coordination. He stressed that clear targets and structured execution enable performance tracking and early gap identification.

Representing CIPMN, Mr. Oyetunji Adekunle Bashir reiterated the Institute’s commitment to strengthening project management standards in Lagos. The workshop concluded with certificate presentations, as participants commended the Ministry for deepening strategic governance practices.
