The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to initiatives that empower women and promote economic inclusion. The Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Folashade Bada Ambrose, stated this at the launch of the HerFidelity Apprenticeship Programme 2.0 in Lagos.

Describing the initiative as impactful, the Commissioner noted that apprenticeship programmes serve as an important bridge between talent and opportunity by equipping young people with practical skills and structured professional guidance.
According to her, the expanded version of the programme demonstrates a strong commitment to preparing young women to actively participate in the economy and develop sustainable career paths.
Mrs. Bada Ambrose also highlighted the role of the Ministry in strengthening programmes that support small and medium-scale enterprises, promote cooperative development and expand access to markets for entrepreneurs across the state.

She added that the government remains focused on creating an enabling environment where businesses can thrive, jobs can be created and young people can build meaningful careers.
