The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), popularly known as KAI, has organised a management retreat aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery. The one-day event held in Epe brought together senior staff and operatives to deliberate on strategies for environmental enforcement.

Corps Marshal Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (Rtd) described the retreat as a strategic effort to strengthen monitoring and enforcement in line with the administration’s development agenda. He emphasised professionalism, discipline, and dedication as essential pillars of effective environmental management.

Presentations at the retreat focused on leadership transformation, collaboration, and compliance strategies. Experts urged officers to adopt visionary leadership principles inspired by global statesmen while maintaining integrity and accountability in service.

The retreat also featured brainstorming sessions designed to enhance inter-agency collaboration and improve intelligence gathering for operational success. Participants reviewed enforcement tactics and administrative processes to ensure alignment with global standards.

Officials concluded that improved teamwork, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement would be critical in sustaining environmental safety and public compliance across Lagos.
