KAI Corps Marshal Reaffirms Environmental Compliance Drive

The Corps Marshal of the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (Rtd), has reaffirmed his commitment to increasing voluntary compliance with environmental laws across Lagos State.

In a statement marking the second anniversary of his appointment, Cole said the agency has intensified monitoring, advocacy, and enforcement to restore environmental sanity statewide.
He highlighted clearance operations in areas such as Ebute Meta-Yaba railway corridor, Dolphin and Cele underbridges, and major commercial hubs, aimed at reducing environmental infractions.
The Corps Marshal commended KAI operatives across the state’s 21 divisions for their professionalism and dedication in tackling issues including street trading, indiscriminate waste disposal, and public nuisance.

Cole also noted improved compliance with the use of pedestrian bridges and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and grassroots advocacy.
