HSC Holds Retreat for Mid-Level Doctors

The Lagos State Health Service Commission (HSC) has hosted a two-day retreat for mid-level medical doctors aimed at strengthening collaboration across departments within the state’s healthcare system.


Held at The Zone, Gbagada, the retreat brought together about 100 doctors from Grade Levels 13 to 15 drawn from secondary healthcare facilities and the Commission.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Dayo Lajide, emphasised the need for integrated care, noting that collaboration among healthcare professionals is essential for improved service delivery.

In her address, Permanent Secretary, HSC, Dr. Cecilia Abimbola Mabogunje, stated that modern healthcare requires teamwork, leadership, and a patient-centred approach across all levels of care.


The retreat featured expert presentations, panel discussions, and awards recognising excellence, with participants exploring solutions to challenges such as infrastructure, power supply, staff welfare, and referral systems.
