Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is scheduled to commission 233 newly completed housing units at the Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate, Ajah, on Friday, November 21, 2025. The addition is expected to expand housing availability for residents in the high-demand Lekki corridor.

The estate, comprising 34 blocks across 3.7 hectares, was developed through a public-private partnership with Urban Shelter Ltd., a private real estate firm. Speaking to journalists, the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to providing affordable, quality housing for Lagosians and completing all ongoing residential projects across the state.

The Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate, located along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, has a long-standing history, with its main phase commissioned on January 15, 2001, by then-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Sanwo-Olu has recently intensified housing delivery across the state. In October 2025, he inaugurated 420 units at the Akinsanya Sunny Ajose Housing Estate, also in Ajah, reinforcing his administration’s drive to address Lagos’s housing deficit.

The 233 new units at Abraham Adesanya Estate aim to provide modern, affordable homes to meet the growing demands of residents seeking quality accommodation in the rapidly developing Lekki area.

Hon. Akinderu-Fatai highlighted that these projects are part of a broader vision to enhance housing infrastructure, reduce urban congestion, and promote sustainable urban development in Lagos State.

The commissioning ceremony is expected to attract government officials, stakeholders, and residents, underscoring the administration’s dedication to improving the living standards of Lagosians.

With these developments, the Lagos State Government continues to position the state as a model for urban housing delivery in Nigeria, balancing affordability, accessibility, and modern living standards.
