Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has commended the European Chamber of Commerce (Eurocham) for its role in deepening economic cooperation between European businesses and Nigeria. The Governor made this known at the Chamber’s Annual Stakeholders’ Conference held recently in Lagos.

Speaking through the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Folashade Bada Ambrose, the Governor described Eurocham as a vital bridge connecting European investors with opportunities in Nigeria’s economy. He praised the Chamber’s sustained engagement, policy dialogue, and investment facilitation efforts.
The conference, themed “Europe-Nigeria Partnerships for Industrial Growth, Financial Innovation and Sustainable Development,” was described as an opportunity to strengthen ties, explore new opportunities, and drive shared economic progress.
Governor Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed that the relationship between Nigeria and the European business community is anchored on trust, innovation, and a shared commitment to sustainable growth. He noted that Lagos remains committed to fostering an enabling environment for investment and enterprise development.

He further assured European business leaders, policymakers, and diplomatic representatives of the State’s readiness to build partnerships based on shared values, mutual respect, and common economic goals.
