The Lagos State Agricultural Land Holdings Authority (ALHA), under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems, has commenced a statewide stakeholders’ engagement on Agricultural Land Management and Revalidation across farm formations in Lagos State.

The exercise aligns with the THEMES Plus Agenda of the Lagos State Government, with a strong focus on food security and farmland expansion. It is designed to revalidate allocated farmlands, address irregularities, and ensure optimal utilisation strictly for agricultural production.
Speaking during the engagement, the General Manager of ALHA, Engr. (Mrs.) Samiat Ajoke Raji, explained that the initiative seeks to update records on agricultural land holdings while enforcing compliance with approved land-use purposes and operational guidelines.
She emphasised accountability in revenue generation, including ground rent payments, and stressed that perimeter fencing and farmland transfers must receive proper authorisation. The exercise also aims to identify challenges faced by farmers and provide sustainable solutions.

The exercise was flagged off at the Erikorodo Poultry Estate in Ikorodu and will cover farm estates across Ikorodu, Epe, and Badagry. Engr. Raji expressed appreciation to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, for their continued support of sustainable agriculture.
