The United States government has listed 19 additional Nigerians for deportation, raising the total number of affected individuals to 113 in recent weeks.

Information published by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security shows that the individuals were identified under a category described as the “worst of the worst” offenders. The update follows ongoing enforcement actions targeting non-citizens convicted of serious crimes.

The offences attributed to the newly named individuals include sexual assault involving minors, fraud-related crimes, physical assault, drug trafficking, and money laundering.

According to officials, those on the list were apprehended by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will be deported after completing required immigration procedures.

Authorities stated that the enforcement drive aligns with broader federal efforts to prioritise the removal of non-citizens convicted of criminal offences.

The latest additions bring the total number of Nigerians scheduled for removal from 79, initially reported weeks ago, to 113, reflecting an intensified immigration crackdown by US authorities.
