A major global gathering of Africans in the diaspora is set to take place in the United Kingdom as stakeholders prepare for the 2026 edition of the Iconic Africa Diaspora Summit and Honours.
The event, organised by Iconic International Holdings in collaboration with Kulture Afrika Ltd, is scheduled for May 23, 2026, at the White Diamond Events Centre in Coventry.
The summit, themed “The Global Bridge: Consolidating Diaspora Capital for Continental Transformation,” aims to bring together Africans living abroad, policymakers, entrepreneurs and professionals to discuss investment opportunities and development initiatives across Africa.
Chief Executive Officer of Iconic International Holdings, Tinotenda Michelle Chavundura, said the programme will highlight individuals whose work is contributing to progress and innovation across the continent. She noted that the summit is designed to recognise outstanding leadership while encouraging unity and sustainable development.
According to the organisers, the forum will also encourage Africans abroad to channel more investments and development partnerships into their home countries rather than relying mainly on remittances.
President and Founder of the Iconic International Holdings Group, Ambassador Temisan O. Louis, said the event will spotlight Africans in the diaspora who have achieved notable success in different sectors. He added that the gathering will also promote strategies that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals across Africa.
The summit will feature two key sessions. The morning segment will host a conference bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and development experts for discussions on Africa’s growth prospects.
Later in the evening, a gala and awards ceremony will honour 100 Africans recognised for excellence in business, innovation and community impact. The programme will also include cultural performances, a beauty pageant titled Face of Africa, and the debut edition of Miss Africa West Midlands.
Director of Kulture Afrika Ltd in the United Kingdom, Balogun Kabiru Abiodun, described the cultural segment as an opportunity to showcase African creativity and heritage to a global audience.
Organisers say the summit will also encourage participation from young Africans, particularly women, while inviting corporate partners and sponsors to support initiatives aimed at strengthening global collaboration for Africa’s development.
