A United Kingdom–based Nigerian content creator, Bemi Orojuogun, popularly known as London Bus Aunty, has been nominated for the TikTok UK Awards 2025 in the Video of the Year category.
The announcement places Orojuogun a proud member of the Nigerian diaspora among the standout creators recognised for shaping the TikTok community through creative and original content. She was nominated alongside Friends of Elmtree, Sam Morris, Gardiner Brothers, Joseph Machines, and Brad Ben.
Reacting in a video shared on her TikTok page on Saturday, Orojuogun expressed her excitement and disbelief at the recognition, saying,
“Guess where I am? At the TikTok Awards! I have been nominated as the Best Video of the Year 2025. Guys, thank you for getting me here. I can’t believe I am here, but thank you.”
Known for her unique and minimalist content style, Orojuogun captures London’s iconic red double-decker buses in short, wordless clips that have captivated millions. Her trademark videos often filmed from pavements as buses glide past have earned her over 200,000 TikTok followers and more than 20,000 Instagram fans.
Beyond entertainment, her viral fame has opened doors for collaboration with public figures and institutions, including the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, on projects promoting the city’s zero-emission buses initiative.
Since her breakout in 2024, the self-styled “London Bus Aunty” has become one of TikTok’s most recognisable Nigerian voices abroad, demonstrating how simple, consistent storytelling can transcend borders and celebrate culture in unexpected ways.
Her nomination cements her place among a growing list of Nigerians in the diaspora making waves on international platforms using creativity and authenticity to redefine digital influence.
