A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom has died following a prolonged illness, leaving behind three young children and a grieving family now appealing for public assistance.

The deceased, identified as Omotayo Abioye, passed away earlier this month after battling breast cancer. She was 40 years old at the time of her death. Her passing has drawn emotional tributes from members of the Nigerian community abroad, many of whom described her as a devoted parent and a compassionate individual.

Family members said she showed remarkable strength throughout her illness, maintaining hope and faith despite the challenges posed by her condition. Those close to her recalled her warm personality and her ability to uplift others even during difficult times.

According to relatives, she is survived by three children, all still in their early years, who are now facing life without their mother. The situation has prompted concerns about their immediate welfare and long-term support.

Leaders within the Nigerian diaspora community in the UK have also acknowledged her passing, highlighting her positive influence and the impact she had on those around her. They noted that her resilience and courage left a lasting impression on many.

In response to the loss, the family has launched an appeal for financial support to cover funeral arrangements and assist with the upbringing of the children. They called on Nigerians both at home and abroad to contribute in any way possible.

Supporters say the fundraising effort is aimed not only at giving her a dignified burial but also at ensuring stability for the children she left behind. Donations, prayers, and other forms of assistance have been encouraged as the family navigates this difficult period.

Early contributions have already begun to come in, though organisers say more support is needed to meet the overall target and provide adequate care for the bereaved family.
