President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General in charge of party outreach, engagement and mobilisation.

The announcement was made on Tuesday through a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. The appointment takes immediate effect.

Tinubu, acting in his capacity as leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said the decision was informed by Sani’s leadership record and organisational experience.

In his new role, the Kaduna governor is expected to coordinate closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope initiative and the party’s national leadership structure, including the APC National Chairman. The focus will be on improving coordination, inclusiveness and strategic engagement nationwide.

He will also spearhead efforts to promote the party’s policies, programmes and achievements, ensuring that its message resonates across different segments of the population.

According to the President, the position is key to strengthening grassroots mobilisation and consolidating political support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a letter conveying the appointment, Tinubu emphasised that the objective is to broaden public understanding of the party’s agenda and secure nationwide backing for its candidates in the next electoral cycle. He expressed confidence that Sani’s political experience would reinforce the APC’s engagement framework and deepen the Renewed Hope campaign across the country.
