According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the governor will also serve as Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation. His appointment takes immediate effect.

Under the new mandate, Governor Uzodimma, who also chairs the Progressive Governors Forum, will collaborate governors across the federation to promote the Tinubu administration’s programmes and achievements.

He is also expected to strengthen harmony, inclusiveness, and strategic coordination across party structures while building stronger grassroots support for government policies and reforms.

“We expect Governor Uzodimma to work closely with all governors, who will serve as Ambassadors of Hope, to ensure that our achievements and ongoing reforms are clearly communicated to Nigerians at every level,” President Tinubu said.

“Our administration has recorded important milestones, including seven straight months of eased inflation at 16.05 per cent in October, stabilised exchange rates, rising foreign reserves above $46 billion, increased investments, and improved passport processing timelines nationwide,” he added.
The President also highlighted progress under the liberalised student loan scheme, which has enrolled over 700,000 beneficiaries, stressing that Uzodimma’s role will be crucial in ensuring Nigerians across all communities fully understand the administration’s gains under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
