Security Remains My Administration’s Top Priority – Abia Governor

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has reaffirmed that safety and security remain the top priorities of his administration. He made the statement during the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Inter-denominational Thanksgiving Service held in Umuahia.

The governor said his administration holds regular security meetings involving service commanders and traditional rulers to assess threats and develop proactive strategies to maintain peace across the state.

According to Otti, security is the foundation of development, stressing that no meaningful progress can be achieved in an atmosphere of fear or instability.

He assured residents that his government remains focused on people-centred governance and would not be distracted from its mandate.

The governor also paid tribute to fallen heroes and veterans, acknowledging their sacrifices in the service of the nation.
