Ondo Govt Commends Pres. Tinubu Over Military Deployment, Appoints New Perm Secs

The Ondo State Government has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for deploying

military personnel to communities affected by terrorist and bandit attacks, describing the intervention as timely and reassuring.


In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, the state government stressed that acts of violence must not be allowed to undermine national unity. It emphasised that the safety of citizens remains paramount.

The government also commiserated with the Kwara State Government over the attack on Woro community, which resulted in loss of lives. It expressed sympathy to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and affected families.

In a separate development, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has appointed 32 senior civil servants as permanent secretaries in the state civil service. The appointments form part of efforts to strengthen governance and public administration.


The governor also confirmed Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General and Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape as Auditor-General for Local Councils, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
